We bought a house!
At last I can reveal the Project that has kept me offline and preoccupied for so many weeks.
My wife and I have just accepted a seller’s counter offer on a home purchase. We expect to take possession of our new house before the last week in July.
I sound pretty calm for someone about to sign away our inheritances, savings and tax refunds.
Congrats!
What kind of house is it? Personally, I dream of having a Victorian Gothic. (uh, no surprise, there!)

Thanks! It’s a three bedroom ranch in a nice northern suburb, not too large but plenty for us and the cats.
I wish I could say the past nine weeks of house hunting have been like a romantic comedy — all flirty and witty and following a proven formula. In fact, it’s been more like an old Saturday morning serial — weekly cliffhangers punctuated with lots of screaming.
